Camping @ Nerstrand Big Woods
Making Smores
Hidden Falls

Jimmy and Foxy don't want to get left behindThis past weekend we went camping at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park with my sister and her family. We had a lovely campsite with lots of room for the kids to play. Carrie and Charles made shish kabobs on Friday night when we arrived. Smores followed dinner, of course. After David and Greta went to bed we showed Bobby what a Satellite is and watched the stars. On Saturday we had pancakes for breakfast, went for a short hike, played at the playground, napped and had burgers for dinner. Bobby was quite entertaining at the campfire asking Charles telling Charles "Tell that story again but this time make it funnier". David required a ride in the car to make him go to sleep. We ended the weekend with eggs and bacon for breakfast and headed back home. Another fun weekend of camping!

50th Anniversary
Happy 50th Anniversary Mom and Dad
David and Greta kept themselves occupied while we played Mini Golf
Bobby is a good big cousin to David
We spent a lovely weekend in Duluth to celebrate my parents 50th Anniversary! We stayed at the Edgewater Water Park and the kids had LOTS of fun playing in the park. We mini golfed, played arcade games, ate pizza, visited Canal park, ate at Blackwoods and spent lots of time together as a family. Carrie made a beautiful 3 layer cake for the occasion. The water park was great and had a fun area for little kids. There was a lazy river that David enjoyed. And the waterslides were a blast...I felt like a kid again.

Grandma Opal

Grandma Opal passed away this morning. She just celebrated her 99th Birthday last month. She was a very special lady to many people. She was the last living of 12 siblings. She died peacefully. She loved the Minnesota Twins, making lefse and was the most generous person I know. You couldn't leave after visiting her without her giving you something, whether it was $10, an orange or a candy bar she won at Bingo. Here are some pictures of David with his Great Grandma.
