Damon's new job

I assigned Damon the task of brining Mikko to get his haircut. I warned him about the crying, the snot, the chair escape attempts. He texted this picture to me of a perfect angel Mikko sitting perfectly for his haircut. I am a little jealous : ) Next he gets to bring Mikko to get his flu shot : )

Halloween PJ Pictures @ Grandma Mary's

There is an awesome train table behind this couch so he would NOT participate in this one.

I am claiming victory for tonight's photo session. David fully cooperated and I have a couple shots with Mikko not crying. Super cute PJs! Super cute kids! Thanks Grandma Mary - it is such a fun tradition for all of us. Thanks for all the treats and games for the kids.

Fall Fun Trip with the Fraser Family

Nothing makes a kid happier than a big tub of cheese balls from Fleet Farm. Mikko was in charge of making sure they were packed on Saturday morning.
Mini-golfing at Lark Toys in Kellogg, MN. Bobby was super pumped he got it between the rocks.

Our two very serious golfers

David and Gretzky. It was a very thought out decision about who would ride on which animal but they figured it out and were next to each other.

Bobby rode the cool dragon.

We get the best smiles out of him on carousels!

The kids LOVE staying in hotels. We had a suite so the kids liked to hang out in one room while the parents were in the other room. They were checked on when it was TOO quiet or when someone would shout out that David was jumping on the bed. I was 100% out on a trip to the ER again so I kept on top of the jumping.

Eating pizza in a floatie - why not!

We all had so much fun in the pool. Bobby won the synchronized swim contest (I took second place, Carrie 3rd). We had lots of fun contests in the pool.

The hot tub was huge and wasn't too hot for us all to hang out in for a long time.

Photo Op with mixed success.

Fun fall day!

We visited the National Eagle Center. Look how excited David was that a REAL LIVE EAGLE was right above his head.

Hanging out with Daddy.

Another missed photo op. Why it always my children wandering off during pictures.

We truly played musical cars. Each time we'd stop there was a new combination of kids in the two mini vans. David and Greta told each other countless "Why did the chicken cross the road?" jokes.
One conversation I heard when we were on a windy road.

David "There are so many 'S'curves".

Greta "David do you like cheese curds".

True entertainment.
I GOT A PICTURE OF DAVID COOPERATING AND SMILING!

Mikko slept through the pumpkin patch so we picked out pumpkins on our own!

Dad came to help haul them to the car though!

The Fraser haul!

Last stop in Stockholm, Wisconsin. A trip to the candy store. Of all the candy David and Bobby both got Pop Rocks. David picked them out because that was what Bobby picked out. David decided he didn't like Pop Rocks. Then Bobby was super sad because he wished that he hadn't gotten the Pop Rocks. He tried to convince his Mom and Dad that he should get something that he'd like better. Lots of Pop Rock drama. Then David he did like Pop Rocks........

Waiting for the Mommies. The moms got to go in one girly store while they all patiently waited.

And to end our stop in Stockholm, Mikko tried the Pop Rocks and LIKED THEM!

Lots of fun, can't wait til another trip together!

Friday night at the ER

Thought I'd put the cutest picture first and not scare you too much.

We had hours to kill, so David attempted his first Plank. At this point in the night I knew he was feeling better. In a hospital gown and Star Wars underwear - classic!
David took a huge digger at Preschool today. In true David fashion, he was running crazy fast on the playground with a metal Tonka Truck. The Tonka Truck won. Damon got a call from school to come and get him right away. When I got home he was kinda 'out-of-it' and didn't remember how he got hurt or where he got hurt. I decided to take him to Children's just to make sure he was ok because he was acting quite strange. Don't you love how these things ALWAYS happen after clinic hours. The doctor wanted to do a CT Scan to check him out. He has a loose front tooth, bruised gums and lots of scrapes that the doctor said look way worse than they really are. I have a feeling this won't be my only trip to the ER with my wild boys.
David was such a trooper and was so good the whole time we were there. I was so proud of him. THANK YOU CAROL for rushing over to watch Mikko because Damon had a gig in Rochester.

Saturday at Sever's Corn Maze

Practicing a cousin photo shoot for the big PJ snapshots next week at Grandma Mary's. I am going to blame their lack of cooperation on the bright sun in their eyes.
And this was one of the better shots!

Mikko comes face to face with a beast. He wasn't a big fan of the animals when we first got in the petting zoo.

I took David in with the birds and it was a little too intense for him. They kinda freaked me out a little too.

Both boys recovered from the animal trauma and warmed up to feeding them.

Cute shot of David.

And Mikkers!

It is those pesky group shots the cause the problem!

Waiting for the pig races. Mikko was obsessed with Leah's snacks.

Pig Race Spectators.

The corn pit was my favorite!

Mikko loved playing in the corn!

Crazy jumps into the corn.

Miss Leah was apprehensive first, but after watching Mikko and David have fun, she hopped in too.

Down the giant slide with Grandma Carol.

Hay bale maze. David was all over the place. It was hard to keep track of him.
He was the cool kid with the shades.

David and Daddy went in the corn maze.

Mikko's turn on the hay maze.

___________

We spent a good 3 1/2 hours at Sever's Corn Maze with Grandma Carol and Leah this morning. The kids were GREAT and had lots of fun. Mandy and Corey were busy moving into their new house today. Thanks for treating us Grandma Carol - it was a blast.
