Welcome Baby Mikko Robert Lee

Mikko arrived at 12:58 on Monday, May 11th. I had to have a planned Cesarean Section because Mikko was Breech and would not move. He was in the pike position with his head up and his feet in front of his face. His butt was down - not the best way to be born, so it was advised, and agreed, that a CSection was the safest.
We chose the name Mikko because it was my Mom's (Marlene's) father's name. He was an immigrant from Finland. The middle name "Robert" is for Damon's grandfather.
We did not know if we were having a boy or a girl so it was thrilling to go to the hospital! Most people thought we were having a girl. Having a planned CSection was not what I had ever intended, so not knowing the sex of the baby added some "magic" to the event. If I had another baby (no, there are no plans), I'd defintely not find out again!!
David first meets his new brother.

David brought a toy to the hospital for Mikko to play with.

Arriving home on Thursday

Mikko has dark blue eyes, blond hair. He looks quite a bit like David, but his hair lighter.

He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz at birth. He probably would have weighed 7 lb 3 oz, but peed all over the doctor when he came out!
Playtime for the Lee Boys.

David arrives to take Mikko home from the hospital.

Planting Flowers, Playing Bass Guitar, and getting the Baby's room ready

Playing Bass Guitar with Daddy
David helped us get the baby room together today...I asked him what we should put in the baby's room first and he picked out a blanket - good choice, I think. He also put his red Lightning McQueen car in the crib and thought the baby would need that.

Grandpa helped David plant some flowers he picked out at the store today.
