Trick or Treat 2010

First Stop, Matt and Angie's House!
He got 2 from them! And one for Mikko, which didn't end up in Mikko's bucket.

Running home with his big score.

A Deer and a Robot - Halloween 2010
Mikko was so content in his costume which surprised me.

A deer running in SW Minneapolis, a rare sight.

David sure wasn't shy about knocking on doors.

We ventured over to St. Paul to my friend Roxie's neighborhood. Their neighborhood is famous for its Halloween displays. They get over 1000 trick or treaters. They even close down the street. This house was so cute. The kids got balloons weighted down by a mini Hershey Bar.

What a fun neighborhood. I want to live here.

Mikko just took in all the sights while David collected the candy.

Roxie and Brian's house.

David sorted his treasures when we got home.
_______________
We had so much fun. Thanks for inviting us Roxie. Seeing the kids have so much fun almost made me tear up at one point.

Busy Day of Fun - Halloween Part 1

We met Carrie, Bobby, Greta, Grandma Carol, Mandy and Leah for lunch at Tailgate.
David got a fun new toy from Grandma Carol that makes spooky noises. Here he is trying to scare Gretzky at lunch.
Picture of the cousins. This was the best one!
They'd never be hired for a Hanna Andersson catalog shoot, but that is just fine with me!

At first David couldn't figure out who Bobby was.

We went to Boo Blast at Lunds w/ the Fraser cousins after lunch.

David leading the way through the store to all the Trick or Treat stands.

Mikko loved "cruisin". He took the easy way out trick or treating.

Greta was going to be a "Rock Star" for Halloween, but in perfect Greta fashion decided this morning that she didn't want to be a Rock Star (there is no swaying her mind) but instead wanted to be a Leopard. So she was a Girl Leopard/Vampire/with pink Cowboy boots. She is unique which makes me love her all the more.

After Lunds we went to a member party at Little Gym.

Mikko had almost everyone laughing. He became obsessed with the laser lights the DJ had set up. He literally stood in the same position for about 5 minutes staring at the lights. The DJ couldn't get enough of him. It was truly funny.

Still staring at lasers.

Ring time.

Playing games with their teachers.
They both love it here, especially Mikko.

Going down the slide
______________
It was a busy fun day.
Thanks to Grandma Carol for helping us out all day! It is always easier and more fun with her around.
We topped off the day by meeting our 3-Day team for dinner while Carol watched the boys. We strategized some fund-raising ideas and had some good laughs reminiscing about the walk last year. We have 2 new members (Becky and Damon) so we filled them in.

Carving Pumpkins

Damon LOVES roasting pumpkins seeds. David helped sort them all out.

Here is David after trying one after they were done. Guess he didn't think they were a hit.

Mikko was trying to drink out of a "real" cup for the first time tonight and got a "little" wet.

Spooky pumpkins.

Video of Mikko. He loves to say Thank You...it is pretty much the only thing he says, but he is very polite and says it constantly.

Annual Pumpkin Decorating at Work

The MSRS Call Center, Take 1.

MSRS Call Center, Take 2

Kristi drew my name and adorned me with "Butch hair, as Mark likes to call it", and bedazzled with jewelry.
__________

Every year at work we draw names and decorate a mini pumpkin into the "likeness" of the person you drew, using office supplies and anything you can find in the office. It is always funny and very creative. Love my group! I couldn't work with a better group of people. Work hard and play hard is our motto!

Lake Tahoe

Day one, on the beach in front of our resort.

Also Day One, Damon on the phone with my Dad giving him instructions on turning our TV on.

It was a super windy day on Lake Tahoe.

Day 2, we drove around Lake Tahoe.

Emerald Bay, one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. On the California side of Lake Tahoe.

I loved all the huge pine cones that were everywhere.

We took a dinner cruise one of the nights of the conference.
The boat is docked and we are ready to go.

Last night

Damon took this cool picture... no idea how it turned out this way, but it is cool.

I went to a work conference at Lake Tahoe for 5 days. Damon came along. We had a wonderful time. It was so strange to be away from the boys for so long, but we really enjoyed the relaxation and time together. We absolutely loved Lake Tahoe.
The conference was great, it was a Pension conference and I met lots of wonderful Pension administrators from all over the country who are experiencing the same issues that our MN pension is. I learned a lot, had a blast with my husband and appreciated all the grandparents taking care of the boys. I am sure the boys had more fun than they do when we are home. They were well taken care of!
