Last day of hockey....

Which means, a trophy!

A very fun season, I know he'll be a hockey player. He is hooked. I see a goalie in our future.

Cousins!

Best big cousin ever!

Today Bobby and Greta came to watch David's hockey practice. Afterwards David (in his Sue Sylvester look) and Greta (still in her skating outfit) sat and CRACKED US UP!
Here is Greta putting on her eyeshadow.
They are the funniest kids together.

Bobby helping Mikko see David over the boards.

Randoms

We missed hockey picture day (of course the ONE weekend he missed hockey because we were out of town) so I wanted to try and get some good hockey pictures of him. He insisted on doing his goalie pose!
Hockey Guy!

When I get home from work I immediately get in my comfy clothes and put my hair back. Apparently David REALLY likes my casual look and he too wanted a ponytail, headband and a scarf like Mommy. Too funny.
David had Presidents Day off (like Mommy) so we went to the zoo. We've been there so many times that I didn't take any pictures, except this one. He curled up next to the bears to take a nap with them.

Snuffy's and Night Trains

Chocolate Malts
Yummy Saturday night treat.

David made sure all of our glasses were completely empty before we left the table.

Mr. Train.

We went to the Model Train Museum @ Bandana Square for their Night Trains exhibit. Besides a long way to get in, it was a really fun time. I'd recommend it, just not on Groupon night! The boys loved watching all the trains go by and all the detailed scenes.

Damon thought about his Grandpa's model trains walking through the displays.

The only pics of the boys were of the backs of their heads.

David loved this one because Lightning McQueen was on the traincar.

Happy Valentine's Day

Mikko got Thomas the Train Pajamas, shocking, I know!
David wore a pink shirt and his sparkly ice show vest to preschool. The teachers LOVED IT!

This biggest hit in his basket wasn't his new Wild Jersey, it is the mini marshmellow bits.

Happy 10th Birthday Bobby

Double Digits!

Yesterday we went to Bobby's 10th Birthday Party. Bobby is smart, kind and and an amazing big cousin to David and Mikko.
Bobby had an awesome party at a hotel and invited a couple of his school friends to swim and play Wii all night long. But, he was sure to include his two little cousins to join in part of the fun. We swam, had pizza and cake, and then left the big kids to play video games.

Easy birthday gift - he really wanted itunes gift cards.

David wanted to give Bobby something special so he wrapped up his firemans helmet to give to his big cousin. Bobby was very gracious and it made David very proud, as you can tell from the look on his face.

A cold morning for a 5k!

At the finish line! It was very cold and there were some super strong gusts of wind. The two 5ks I've done this winter have turned out to be the coldest days of the year. Crossing my fingers for the St. Patrick's Day run.
I shaved my time from last month by 4 minutes. I've been working on my speed and it paid off!

My awesome Dad ventured over to watch me...and kept me company while I waited for AAA to unlock my keys from my car. I didn't want to carry my keys while I was running so I dropped them in my purse and closed the door. Whoops! But the AAA lady was so friendly on the phone and very impressed with my run. Shout out for AAA!

Super Bowl Party

I made a "Pin the Football in the Field Goal" game for the kids to play.

Mikko's Turn! He loved getting spun around.

Cousin Leah's turn.

David gets a Field Goal too. Everyone was a winner.

Damon is an expert nacho maker. I was his "Sous Chef" and did all the prep work though, I must say.

Grandma Carol brough Leah over to hang out for the evening. The kids had a slumber party with her on the floor.

I can't say I even got to watch a minute of the game and I did not see any commercial in entirety. But we had lots of fun games, food, cookies and the boys got to have lots of fun with Leah.

Lots of Fun with the Boys

Damon had gigs most of the weekend so I got lots of time hanging out with the boys. Here is a Saturday morning classic. We built a train in the living room and David wanted to eat his cereal in the middle of it and watch TV. I say, "Why not?".

Mikko's resent obsession is "washing his hands". Sounds great, right. Like he is super hygienic. It is really an excuse for playing in the sink for a half hour.

Off to hockey practice for David. Here he is playing against the coach.

Toting Mikko along solo is always interesting. My purse contains a plentiful bounty of crackers and trains to last for an hour of entertainment.

We found an old Zamboni tire and made it into a train track.

And the rink boards were great "tunnels".
