Christmas at the Sperstads

Feeling Festive for the Sweater Contest (Mandy - I stole this pic off your blog :)

Damon won the contest...I decided I get the prize since it was really my sweater.  I had worn it three times this week and was sick of it so he wore it :)  The hat added to the effect.
Uncle Corey playing trains with Mikkster.

Pooping dog...what a hit!

Major excitement when David opened this awesome new bike helmet from the Sperstads.

Playing with his new "ipad" with Leah.

Santa Came!

For David it was the year of Angry Birds and Video Games

All the presents were opened and then we realized that Santa had left one more present in the fireplace.  He must have dropped it on his way out of our house.  There was an ipad (aka kindle fire) in the fireplace.

Still super into trains.  Here he is decked out head to toe in Thomas.

Christmas Eve at Fraser

More silly games!

Whoever kept their Rudolph Nose on the longest was the winner!

David won the Rudolph Nose Contest.

"FUN"DUE!
Fondue Party - We played about 15 rounds of "Fortunately/Unfortunately".  Our stories were quite creative.
The Chocolate Fondue was the hit of the night.
Looking cute in pjs from Grandma Mary.
Feeding the reindeer before bedtime.
We ventured over to the Ferrell's Sunday afternoon to check out their new ice rink they made in their backyard.  Awesomelly impressive!  Mike will be helping us make one in our backyard next year!

We were all missing the 20th Annual Westfork Literary Society going on in I Falls, so it was perfect that we got to spend the evening together - Hudson's, Ferrell's, Lee's!   Enjoying a fire here.

Sledding with Mikko

It couldn't have been a more perfect winter evening!

Saturday night we went to Lights in the Park at Lake Phalen.  It took FOREVER to get in, by the time we were done we were STARVING, so headed to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Playing with Damon/Dusty/Mandy's old Star Wars toys at Grandma Carols.

I had to work Christmas Eve so the boys came in to checkout my new office at work.  They brought a picnic lunch.

Santa

Mikko asked Santa for Trains.  David asked him for Mario and a Guitar.  As you can tell, there was absolutely  no fear of Santa this year.
They turned out just like the package!

8 activities in 2 hours, no major meltdowns.  Another successful Fraser/Lee Fun Fest.

The Elf Olympics

We created the "Elf Olympics" competition for the kids.  Bobby and Mikko vs. Greta and David.

The first Elf Olympics event was a tree decorating competition.  Greta and Mikko were the trees.  They stood perfectly in place while they were decorated with lights and tinsel.  Mikko hated the tinsel and his lights started to get a little hot.  LED lights next time!
Greta and David won this portion of the Elf Olympics.

The next event was the Candy Cane licking competition.  The first to lick the end of their candy cane until you could only see white was the winner.
Next the elves had to collect Santa's hidden reindeer and put them on the reigns of the sleigh.Team Greta and David snuck out a last second win.

Lefse Making 2012

Our new roller.  Watch out Carrie - he might take over your job.

Our team of 3 hammered out our lefse in record time.

The roller.

The flipper.

Playing with Natalie Lovejoy at The Dakota

Damon played a gig with Natalie Lovejoy at The Dakota.  It was the biggest crowd they ever had for a late night show.  Pretty cool stuff.  Very proud!

Funny Mikko

Mikko looks like a scene out of The Hangover.  Trashed room, passed out!

I took Mikko shopping with me at the Mall.  I quickly tried on sweaters at a mirror and he found his own entertainment.  Luckily the mannequin didn't topple over.

Tis The Season!

Minnehaha Parkway Bunny Statue, decorated for the season

Playing on the Parkway

On Friday all the Kindergarteners made Gingerbread houses!  Luckily there were many many parents there to help.  It was an explosion of sugar.
What a treat for me to take the day off to spend the morning with David.

SO VERY DAVID!
