Help me raise $3000!!!

The 3 Day is fast approaching! I've set a new goal of raising $3000 - I'm so close - right now I'm at $2600. Donate if you can! I'd love to hit the $3000 threshold!

visit www.the3day.org and search for Rebecca Lee - Twin Cities!

I'll post the cheer stations and send an email to all my donors as the event nears - we usually find out about 2 weeks before the event where the cheer stations will be.

Play Time on Sunday night

I bought David a new Twin Blow Up mattress because we are going camping next weekend so we inflated it Sunday evening for him. Loads of entertainment for the boys. I'm guessing that even if it rains when we are camping they'll have fun in the tent on the air mattresses.

Crystal Parade

Why do I have a feeling he is going to be trouble????

Mikko and Leah watching the parade

They loved playing with my jewelry.

David was scared of this Chinese Dragon. He is hiding behind daddy.
He was also scared of a walking cookie, but eventually warmed up to him when all the other kids were cool with him.

CHEESE!

Mikko sporting mommy's Stella Dot bracelet. Baby trends.

There were lots of fun motorcycles for David to watch that he LOVED.

Watching the parade w/ Auntie Mandy.

The Sperstad's invited us over on Sunday to watch the Crystal parade. It was a great parade with LOTS of motorized vehicles that David loved. Leah and Mikko entertained each other.

It was a very fun Sunday afternoon.

Thanks Sperstads!

Friday Dinner out with Grandpa Dave

We went out to dinner at Fireside in Rosemount, one of the restaurants that Damon worked SO hard on in much of June. The painting and staining he did at this job was AMAZING. I'm so proud of him. The owners absolutely loved the work Damon did and really got to know Damon well. Damon was so proud of this job, which he should be.

David was eating a chicken wing dipped in ranch dressing. He called it a Chicken Ice Cream Cone - it was pretty funny.

I've never seen Mikko eat so much in his life. Here he is taking big bites of David's cheeseburger. We had to cut him off from eating. I guess we are going to have two cheeseburger lover's in our house!
_______________
When we first got to the restaurant I went next door to the nail salon to get a manicure - Damon had bought me a gift certificate when he was painting. He had gotten to know the owner of the nail salon by working down there so much. When I was getting my manicure I told the owner that I was Damon's wife and he got giddy. He seriously couldn't say enough nice things about Damon. It was so awesome. Damon - you are the best - the restaurant owners loved you, the nail salon owner next door loved you! Me too : )

David's Day with Grandma Carol

Here is David as he sets off on his adventure with Grandma Carol.
He had his backpack packed and was so proud.
Grandma Carol treated David to a Super Special Day on Friday.
She picked him up in the morning and took him to a Thomas the Train Activity Morning where they made crafts and listened to stories about Thomas the Train. David was shy but learned to say "TA DA" when he presented his artwork to all the kids...Progress.
Then they went to Bryant Beach to swim and play in the sand. Uncle Dusty was working there so they had lots of fun. They picnic'd and played until the early afternoon.
Then she took him to the Children's Museum where he loved playing with the conveyor bricks and the water games.
He came so proud of his artwork and told us all about his special day with Grandma.
Thanks Grandma Carol for making a special day just for David.
According to Heather, Mikko was just fine at daycare without David.

Mikko loved the water!

Today we visited David and Mikko's new cousin, Lauren.
We didn't get any pictures which is VERY "Un-Rebecca-ish". She is a beautiful little girl with lots of dark hair.
Christine and Sophia then took us to a Party at the YMCA. There were hotdogs, ice cream cones, dancing, tricycles...David was very sad when it was time to go home.
The boys had a lot of fun playing in the Splash Pad.
A perfect outing for a hot day.
Thanks Amundsons. We'll definitely want to do it again!

3 Day Training

Carrie, Me, Britta and Nissa
____________________________________
Damon took this picture of us before we did 15 miles.
We all did really well. The last 2 miles were really tough on me - it was super hot and sunny. But, I did it. I figured that if I can walk 15 miles, I can walk 20 with people cheering me on.

Mikko's First Haircut

My little blondie.
He just drank his milk during the whole haircut.
He was sitting on the deck in a doll high chair - super cute.
As with David, Uncle Charles gave Mikko his first haircut when we were up in the Falls.
Mikko did SO good and didn't cry or move a lot at all.
Poor Uncle Charles cut his finger though.
Thanks Uncle Charles
He looks so much older now.
More boy than baby : (

David Driving at the Shack - 5 Funny Videos

David was "driving" the car on the dirt road at the Shack. My favorite video is the one where he says he is going to take us into the woods and into the bushes. Rest assured this is a very isolated road and we're going really slow - don't want to scare the grandmas who aren't familiar w/ the Westfork ways : )

4th of July

Bobby held Davids hand during the parade...cutest thing ever.

So Patriotic...he waved his flag the whole parade.

Mikko's mini meltdown.
Hilarious.
Ahhh...there is my happy boy.

Eating pizza.

Mikko got in the spirit too!

I absolutely love this picture of David. He was so in awe of the fireworks. So cute.

A Day on Rainy Lake

Lucia and Mikko on the Pontoon Boat.

Dick let David steer! And honk the horn.

Mikko fell asleep onboard.

We docked at an island and we all took a hike on a tral at Voyageurs National Park.

Vivian picking blueberries on the trail.

Mike was helping David. Damon carried Mikko the whole 2 miles.

Hikers!

David picking blueberries.
I ask David how many blueberries a bear would eat - he said 16.
I asked how many he could eat - he said 4.
I asked how many Mikko could eat - he said 1.
I asked how many Daddy could eat - he said 60.
Making their way through the woods.
We all had some woodticks after the hike.

At the end of the trail was a beaver pond. Damon was blown away that in the middle of the island was another "lake" with a beaver bond in it.
Here is a beaver carring a stick through the pond.

The Lee Family

Britta carried David on her back the 2nd half of the hike.

After the hike the kids jumped off the boat into Rainy Lake, with the help of Mike.

After the hike we went to Sha Sha.
The kids loved playing in the "Birdcage."

David, Winnie, Viv and Lucia

Eating at Sha Sha

Sha Sha is famous for it's chipmunks. David is holding a bag of peanuts and trying to feed them.
