Pumpkin Carving

David drew the face he wanted and daddy carved it out.  After visiting Choo Choo Bob's I thought it would be cool to make a train pumpkin and it turned out really cool.  They are wearing their new skeleton pjs from Grandma Mary.

Halloween is coming soon!

Hanging with the cousins.  Carrie watched the boys a few hours on Saturday evening.  Of course they did all sorts of craft things.  They have an amazing Auntie!
I ran my first 10 mile race.  Damon did his 2nd Half Marathon.  We were both pretty proud.
We visited Choo Choo Bob's in St. Paul.  Mikko did NOT want to leave.

Time to buy pumpkins!  They got to pick out a pumpkin priced at their age.

Loved this!

Would have been a great picture if they were looking the right way!

The First Annual Westfork 1K (WF1K)

We had a real pistol start.
The kids spent a good deal of time making their race bibs!  They got super into it; coming up with their numbers and decorating the bibs.
The start!
We set up a water station at the halfway turn around point.

And their off.....

Mikko running next to Daddy

We also had some adult beverages at the water station.

David finishing strong.

The medal ceremony.

In classy Westfork fashion, I crafted the medals out of the bottoms of red solo cups.  Not bad for last minute creativity.

They were proud of their medals.

We all finished.

Damon ran 12 miles on Saturday morning.  We met him on the road to cheer him on.  The kids gave him water and ran with him.

MEA Weekend

Tailgating to keep out of the rain at the Shack

Shooting off rockets in the field.

Grandpa Huntz kept the kids busy, as always.  They followed him around!

Helping Damon set up rockets.

Retrieving rockets

Mikko wasn't a huge fan of the rocket launches.  Amanda kept his ears covered in the back of the car.

Wheelin' in the woods.

Dray Ride, Load #1.

Dray ride, load #2

The corn feeders are always a hit with the kids.
Crazy Crazy Wild kids.

The kids table.

Mikko loved having Josie read him books.

Weekend - Mpls Institute of Art

David and Mikko got to paint on a Greek urn.  It took Mikko a little while to warm up to it.

Checking out a modern art video installation.

Love this picture....pretty much what they thought of the art museum.

Damon had a great idea to take the boys to an art museum.  His idea, not mine...and I am the Art History major.

Ran my first 10k which is 6.2 miles.  It was chilly but I ran the whole thing, minus walking through a water station.  Pretty damn proud!
