T Ball

David got a TBall set from Grandma Mary and Grandpa Dave for his birthday. We ventured outside in our cold August weather to try it out. I'm guessing we'll be signing up for Tball next year because David loved it!

My boys!

Mikko is just starting to get big enough to go in the exer-saucer. And that is good because the swing is starting to swing a little crooked. R.I.P baby swing! Mikko is onto bigger and better!

Damon and I wanted to have an adult conversation last week so I gave David some pudding to enjoy while Mommy and Daddy talked in the living room. This is what greeted us in the kitchen!!

Puppy Party - Win and Viv turn 5

Happy Birthday Winnie

Happy Birthday Vivian

The kids got to eat their cake out of cute dog dishes!

Carrie and Mikko

Britta hid dog bones in the backyard that all the kids had to find. Here are Vivian and Bobby.

David found a dog bone!

David wearing his dog ears!
Today we went to Winnie and Vivian's Birthday party. It was a puppy theme. Britta went all out on the "dog theme", but there was no surprise puppy gift at the end. There were about 15 kids so it was very crazy. Britta had a dog bone hunt in the back yard and an obstacle course set up so the kids used up lots of energy before their hot dog lunch. The parting gifts were bags of "puppy chow" of course.
Amazingly I kept David awake the whole ride home from Woodbury so he is napping away right now. Ahhh, silence in the house!

Velodrome

Damon's uncle runs the Velodrome at the Nat'l Sports Center and Blaine. The boys and Carol checked out one of the races when I had my Stella and Dot jewelry party on Thursday night.
I believe there is another race this Thursday night (Sept 3). Check out the Nat'l Sports Center Velodrome site.

Breast Cancer 3 Day Closing Ceremony

Greta greets her Mommy with a kiss.

Carrie, after finishing 3 days and 60 miles! She was doing great. A few blisters and sore muscles, but she looked AMAZING.

Huge crowds watching the 2500 people walk to the Capital. The walkers raised over 6.1 million dollars this year.

Bobby and David give high fives and Papa and Damon's shoulders.

Closing Ceremony

Dad with his Finnish and Norwegian flag. As always, he attracted lots of attention and made friends wherever he went!

Matt's 3rd Bday

We were invited to my co-worker Jeff's son's 3rd Birthday. David and Matt are just a few days apart in age so it is always fun to find out how our little guys are doing.
Matt had a super fun party with a Curious George theme. Happy Birthday Matt.
David loved Matt's truck.

Playing with Bradon and Caroline.

Mikko tried out the jumperoo. He is a little bit small for it and druled all over it. Sorry Jeff and Lynn.

2nd day of Breast Cancer 3-Day - Cheer Station

My amazing sister Carrie participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day this weekend. She raised nearly $3000 and walked 60 miles over 3 days.

David waving the Finnish and Norwegian flag.

Papa always in the spotlight! The walkers loved his Finnish and Norwegian flags!

"Here's to good woman, may we know them, may we raise them, may we be them."

So many fun and fantastic people cheered the walkers on. Here is just one of the many examples.

Leah's Baptism

Today we attended Leah's baptism at ELIM Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. Afterwards we headed to Mandy and Corey's for a wonderful spread of food. Leah was adorable, as always.

Last week I blogged about Mikko turning 3 months old. This week David turned 3 YEARS old. We celbrated on Sunday with a Birthday Party. David got LOTS of new fun toys. Carrie made a race-track Birthday Cake. We had hot dogs and brats and the kids played in the back yard. The day turned out to be lovely!
