Happy 9th Birthday Bobby

Bobby's party was at Pump It Up in Oakdale Sunday afternoon.
Mikko wanted to play like the big kids. He did go in the bouncys a few times with no fear of getting pummeled by the big kids.
Wheeee!

Mikko's turn

Spinning around and around.

David running to go through the obstacle course again. It was like Wipeout!

Lots of kids at the party.

Carrie decorated Bobby's cake like Mario Cart. It was amazing and SO detailed.

Bobby when we sang Happy Birthday.

Mikko entertained Grandma and Grandpa with his new animal noises.

Balloons.

Gretzky Sleepover

Damon practicing Bass. David got his guitar out too.
Mikko thought his gear was pretty cool.

Gretzky slept overnight because Carrie brought Bobby to see Charles' Play while my parents were in town. Greta was so excited to stay over. Here they are again playing "Vacation" in David's room. This time they were packing to go to Disney World.
They made a HUGE mess, but cleaned it all up. 1-2-3 Magic!
Greta wanted to watch Shrek. They layed out their blankets on the floor and Jimmy joined in.

Little Mikks too.

Shack Trip!

David sleeping in the car on the way up. Looks so uncomfortable.
Mikko was all sweetness, showing off his rainboots.

The boys were so good in the car both ways. No whining or crying at all. It made our trip a breeze!

Jimmy had been on vacation with my Dad for the last two weeks. Here he is as we are driving into the driveway. My Dad had him sitting but when he figured out it was us, he ran!

Reunited!

David really wanted to sleep in the loft so I let him take a nap with me up there.

I went to Ronnings on Friday and bought David some new rainboots because he had outgrown his. He walked around in them with his underwear for 2 days. Let's just say the Shack is really warm with the woodstove.

Mikko was loving the shape sorter and did it all weekend with Grandma and Grandpa.
They can even multi-task and have a cocktail at the same time!

Fun with Grandma. She had a blast with him, as always, and wants him to come and stay a week with her.
The boys were both so good the whole weekend. I was so impressed by them.
Damon and I just finished reading "1-2-3 Magic", a parenting book recommended by our Pediatrician and it truly is Magic. It has awesome strategies for disciplining which David totally took to.
The Fougners came out to visit. Kisses to Nissa!

Kisses from Lucia.
As always, Lucia is just the most fun little girl you could imagine! What a bright spirit she is. I am so happy that our kids will grow up together. #2, a boy, is on the way!

Snack time!

We Sauna'd on Saturday afternoon.

Damon and Dad braving the snowbank! I did this too, but the photo-evidence will not be revealed on the World Wide Web!

Cheers! Hamms beer in the Sauna - only in the Falls!

Pulling Mikkers on the sled, over and over and over!

Birthdays at Grandma Carol's House

Playing catch w/ Uncle Dusty.

Book time.

David wanted to sit on the tall stools with Uncle Corey and be a "Big Person".

Coloring at the little table.

Leah and Mikkers playing with stickers.

Books with Uncle Dusty.

So cute!
-----------------
We went over to Grandma Carol's to celebrate Mandy and Corey's February Birthdays.
The boys had a BLAST playing with their fund Auntie and Uncles.

Breakfast at Grandma Mary's

The kiddie table. All was going well until two of them (Leah and Mikko) fell out of their chairs and cried.

Mikkers hanging out.

The traditional kids photo shoot on the couch.

Sophia and Mikko playing with their feet.

Grandma Mary gave David this stuffed koala bear that a neighbor gave her. It will now officially be added into David's bedtime hoarding routine. Damon wanted him to give it a name, and he named it "David". So now we need to differentiate between the two David's.

David's naptime tent. He's sleeping with "David". (and his body pillow, a pillow pet, a throw pillow, Thomas the train sleeping bag, Mikko's "ki-ki" and a fleece dog blanket)

Slumber Party

Away we go to the "Cheeseburger Store". The ride was very "entertaining". Greta wanted to sing Frosty the Snowman all by herself. She'd get a few lines in and Bobby would chime in and join her. She'd get mad and try it again, Bobby always joining in. Over and Over and Over. On the way back Bobby was telling us jokes. David would then try to tell jokes which he made up that made no sense but we would all laugh anyway. Mikko was just yelling "GO, GO, GO" the whole time
Here we are at the Cheeseburger Store waiting for
Uncle Damon to bring us our dinner.
Carrie - look how well-behaved your kids look, like little angels.
Bobby and David would bring their trucks they got from their Happy Meals and send them down the slide. It was slightly obnoxious, but not more than the other kids that were at McDonalds on a Friday evening : )

Once we got home Bobby and David raced scooters and trucks all over the house. Little Mikks tried SO hard to keep up with them and laughed and giggled.

Valentine Cookie Break

We then watched Winter Wipeout on TV. During the commercials we gave the kids turns "wiping out". Mikko even joined in and would show us his crazy moves.

Once again, David and Greta played "Vacation". This time they said they were going on vacation to the North Pole.

They pretty much trashed his room.

Settling down for the evening. Bobby, Greta and David slept on the living room floor and slept all night. Of course David was up first and Greta complained that "David is waking me up Auntie Becky".

I invited Bobby and Greta over for a slumber party! Carrie got a night all to herself and she promised to not clean her house but instead to enjoy the solitude by watching a movie and drinking wine.
