Almost Crawling and Fun with Cousins

Picture of Mikko Ready to Take Off
He has the Eye of the Tiger in this picture.

We went to Bobby's Hockey Spaghetti Feed! That is one BIG MEATBALL (of which he didn't have a single bite, of course)

Playing Mario Kart on Gretzky's Princess Chair

All 3 of them playing Mario Kart

Here is a video of Mikko rocking back and forth trying SO hard to crawl. Sorry it is so dark.

Better luck next year

Josh at work got some Vikings Face paint at Taco Bell and gave it to me.
Damon painted a football helmet on one cheek and #4 on the other.

Go Brett

Mikko was even in the spirit wearing his Vikings PJs from Uncle Dusty.

So we are finally over the Vikings losing last Sunday (meaning I've finally uploaded these pictures off the camera).

Lunch with Grandma Carol, Mandy and Leah

Leah and Mikko were grabbing each other. I think it was their first interaction yet!
Mandy, your hand looks like a hand model.

SOOOO cute to see them together.

Mikko was interested in the menu.

I bought some Silly Putty to occupy David. I couldn't get any nice smiles out of him, only silly obnoxious ones.

We met up for lunch at Champp's in Minnetonka.
David enjoyed a cheeseburger, chocolate milk, french fries and ice cream.
Us ladies stuck to our salads, we definitely had "food envy" of David's plate though.

After watching the 10th epidsode of Thomas the Train yesterday I told David it was Mommy's turn to watch her tv shows. I wanted to watch the US Figure Skating Championships. You can tell that David has been watching a lot of hockey with Daddy because his observations when watching figure skating were:

1) Girls don't skate
2) They should be wearing pants
3) They are getting the ice dirty (when their skates left scratches in the ice)

I was waiting for him to ask where the puck is.

Mall of America

David and Mommy rode the Carousel.

David and Grandma rode the cars!

Grandma Time

Pointing at the car he wanted to ride in.

Mikko watched the rollercoasters and was mesmerized. We didn't hear a peep out of him.

On Saturday afternoon we headed to Mall of America (with the rest of the Twin Cities).
We ate at RainForest Cafe and David went on a few rides.
Thanks Grandma Carol!

A Rainy Saturday inside

David practiced taking pictures, not bad.

We made a Robot costume out of a diaper box and tinfoil.
He was using my old cell phone and singing "Robot, Robot, Robot"

David and Mikko playing with cars on the floor.

Cousins

Bobby and David playing the Fishing Game
Greta and Bobby came over last night for some fun!
We ate pizza (so did Foxy) and the kids played.
Bobby read David "Go Dog Go"

Mikko and Leah
We went over to Mandy's for dinner last Monday.
Leah was watching David run around.

Grandpa Dave and Grandma Mary's visit

Playtime with Grandpa

Eating Dinner

Grandma Mary feeding Mikkers

Snuggling with Grandpa after getting worn out from our busy day.

Papa and Grandma came over on Sunday evening for Spaghetti. David ran around like a crazy person and Mikko showed Grandma and Grandpa all his new moves and new noises he is making. It was fun to see them and spend an evening together.

Vikings Game at the Ferrells

Mikko and Lucia

David and Winnie playing

Lucia is already pulling herself up and crawling!

We ventured over to Woodbury after Church on Sunday to watch the Vikings with the Ferrell's and Fougner's.

Sesame Street Live

Being Silly on Daddy's Lap

Sesame Street Live

We loved that Wally the Beerman works Sesame Street shows!

Grandma bought David an Elmo balloon.

It was a bargain at $10!

Watching the show on Mommy's lap

David loved running in the skyway

After the show we went to Savoy for Pizza in St. Paul on our way to pick up Mikko at Auntie Carrie's

Grandma Carol took us to Sesame Street Live at Target Center on Saturday Morning.
David sat and watch the whole first half and made it through most of the 2nd half. We had so much fun - David was funny and well behaved! He even got ice cream at 10:30 in the morning!

Step One, Get a Beer

Damon spent an evening assembling Christmas presents.
As all the pieces and directions fell out of the box he exclaimed "Step One, Get a Beer".
Sounds like a "Huntzism" to me!
David got a juice pouch!

Mikko is 8 Months Old

Mikko is 8 months

He has become even MORE animated this month. He grabs absolutely everything in sight.

Today in Church he got a hold of my hair and wouldn't let go and then he ripped my necklace off my neck - YIKES! I was able to repair it thankfully.

He is totally sitting up by himself now - although he topples over every once in awhile.

He gets on his hands and knees and rocks back in forth - he is ready to take off, and I fear he will be like a rocket when he does.

He loves to shake his head back and forth and copies us when we do it.

He loves to grab Jimmy's ears and he is learning to defend himself from Foxy's kisses.

But what makes him laugh and smile the most is watching David run and run and run.
I almost can't read him books because he completely attacks the books and becomes a wild man!
He is such a fun little boy. We have the perfect pair of little guys in our house.

Macaroni and Cheese for lunch

My two silly boys eating lunch

Mikko planted his nose right in his bowl of carrots. David thought it was pretty funny.
