Halloween PJS and costumes
Grandma Mary bought all the kids adorable Halloween PJs with their names embroidered on them. We got together for a photo shoot. I hope that Mandy, Mary or Christine got some good pictures. However, the ones we got are quite entertaining. Here Mikko fell forward during the photo shoot. I love that David is laughing at him.

Mikko is 5 months old
Our beautiful Mikko is now 5 months old. He started eating cereal and fruits and veggies this month and he absolutely LOVES them. He slurps them up like you wouldn't believe. He is flipping over both ways and he moves all over his crib. He is very smiley and his fun personality continues to charm us. Time is flying by!

Does Mikko remind you of a scene from A Christmas Story???

We spent 4 days at the Shack! David had been talking about going for about a month. It is so wonderful that it is becoming a place that he remembers and wants to go to because he has so much fun there. He didn't take a nap any of the days we were there and didn't even get whiny. He just didn't want to nap with all the things to do and explore.
Our friends Amanda and Steve came along, as they have the past 3 years. It is now
an official "yearly" event which we anticipate every year! Steve and Damon love to hunt together. This year Steve brought his new hunting dog, Lola. Surprisingly, Jimmy and Foxy adapted to having another dog along quite well. There were a few growls, but they generally got along perfectly. Amanda and Steve didn't bring their kids this year because they are in school. Amanda was like having the perfect nanny along to help me out with our little ones. She changed diapers, fed babies, and played with both of them so well. It was wonderful to have the help.
We've decided that Grandma Marlene is Mikko's baby whisperer. He is never as calm as when he is in her arms. There is something about the 2 of them! Must be their Finnish connection!
