Breast Cancer 3 Day Closing Ceremony

Greta greets her Mommy with a kiss.

Carrie, after finishing 3 days and 60 miles! She was doing great. A few blisters and sore muscles, but she looked AMAZING.

Huge crowds watching the 2500 people walk to the Capital. The walkers raised over 6.1 million dollars this year.

Bobby and David give high fives and Papa and Damon's shoulders.

Closing Ceremony

Dad with his Finnish and Norwegian flag. As always, he attracted lots of attention and made friends wherever he went!

Matt's 3rd Bday

We were invited to my co-worker Jeff's son's 3rd Birthday. David and Matt are just a few days apart in age so it is always fun to find out how our little guys are doing.
Matt had a super fun party with a Curious George theme. Happy Birthday Matt.
David loved Matt's truck.

Playing with Bradon and Caroline.

Mikko tried out the jumperoo. He is a little bit small for it and druled all over it. Sorry Jeff and Lynn.

2nd day of Breast Cancer 3-Day - Cheer Station

My amazing sister Carrie participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day this weekend. She raised nearly $3000 and walked 60 miles over 3 days.

Papa always in the spotlight! The walkers loved his Finnish and Norwegian flags!

"Here's to good woman, may we know them, may we raise them, may we be them."

So many fun and fantastic people cheered the walkers on. Here is just one of the many examples.

Leah's Baptism

Today we attended Leah's baptism at ELIM Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. Afterwards we headed to Mandy and Corey's for a wonderful spread of food. Leah was adorable, as always.

Last week I blogged about Mikko turning 3 months old. This week David turned 3 YEARS old. We celbrated on Sunday with a Birthday Party. David got LOTS of new fun toys. Carrie made a race-track Birthday Cake. We had hot dogs and brats and the kids played in the back yard. The day turned out to be lovely!

Hazeltine

Tiger

Tiger

Vijay Singh

Phil

Today Damon and Dusty went to watch the PGA Championship practices at Hazeltine, courtesy of Mary! They were both very glad they went and thought it was a GREAT experience. I wonder if that had anything to do with being able to buy a beer at 9:30 am - kidding! Here are some pictures Damon took. Go Tiger! I am also rooting for Phil this time.

Handsome little Mikko at 3 months

Time flies. 3 months already? What a wonderful boy he has become. His smile is priceless. He is sleeping through the night almost all the time...up to 10 hours! Still loves his swing and being swaddled and likes to be held. I think his quick growth has slowed down a bit. Our life with 2 children is beginning to feel "normal". Mikko does very well at daycare too!

Mommy: "David, what are you doing?", as he was playing with the computer mouse.

David: "I'm checking my e-mail."

Camping Sakatah Lake

Counting the steps. One, Two, Six....

Mikko was a happy camper!

Damon cooking breakfast on our campstove.

Damon and David eating breakfast.

Jimmy and Foxy were on full alert. There was a small yippy dog barking in the campground that they didn't like.

Sakatah Lake

Going for a walk.

We camped at Sakatah Lake State Park, just west of Faribault. We intended to camp 2 nights, but the heat overcame us. Friday night it rained almost all night long, but we stayed dry. Mikko and David didn't wake up at all, even in the thunder and lightening. Mom sure didn't sleep though. We woke up to a lovely morning, however the campsite was soaking wet so David got VERY dirty. I gave up trying to keep him clean. We drank coffee (and hot chocolate for David) by the campfire and had a YUMMY breakfast of sausage and eggs that Damon made. We trekked to the lake and drove to Waterville for lunch. We hung out a few hours at the campsite but decided we didn't want to sweat all day just to have another night of rain. We packed up and headed home. Despite our short trip, it was a fun family adventure!

The music knocked Mikko out!
Damon played with Ross William Perry at the Normandale Lake Band Shell Blues and BBQ. It was a lovely evening with a very big crowd. David loved watching Damon play and danced around and sucked off the Oreo filling from the cookies Papa brought. Mikko did great!
