Busy Saturday

David was wearing his Halloween costume from when he was 2 years old around the house. It was pretty short. He added to the costume by sporting his rain boots.
We ventured over to the Full Moon Festival at Wagner's Greenhouse on Penn Ave. Thanks for the idea Grandma Carol - it was great!

David and Mikko listening to stories.

Photo op?

Painting a pumpkin. By the time it was done it was pretty much all brown.

The boys got a kick out of walking/running through the greenhouse.

Face Painting.

After naptime we headed to an Open House at The Little Gym. David takes classes there on Wednesday nights. Today anyone could come and play. David showed me some of his moves, as daddy usually takes him there.

Mikko was squealing and screaming and just loving it. Considering a class if we can find the time to add one more thing in our schedule. But he LOVED it.

Look at the concentration!

Mikko found a new friend. He LOVED this gal and smiled away at her. They played and played.

David playing a game.

After the Little Gym we went to our new favorite ice cream shop - Liberty Frozen Custard on Nicollet Avenue. The last couple Saturdays we've walked up there on Saturday afternoons for ice cream. They have one scoop cones for kids for 93 cents!

Damon worked all day Saturday so I planned a busy day with the boys. I get stir crazy (so do they) if we are home all day, not to mention a little crabby, so we were pretty much out all day doing stuff. It was a great day, they were both well behaved, and I even bought a pair of new shoes - ooh la la. We went to Herbergers, which was ridiculously busy. It took a really long time to get waited on in the shoe department so I had David picking out shoes that he thought people would like. For example, there were tall silver boots he thought Mandy should have. Black and pink loafers for Sophia. TOTAL MOM shoes for Carrie (sorry Carrie), and the same TOTAL MOM shoes for Carol. Grandma Mary got silver sneakers. Greta got orange tennis shoes. Leah got tapestry style flats. Grandma Marlene got fancy brown strappy sandals. It was pretty funny.
