______________
We went over to Mandy's for Easter Dinner. What a Saint she is. She is a Vegetarian but she cooked us all a ham. We had a wonderful time with all the kids who were all dressed up in their Easter Best!

Here is David describing hearing the Easter Bunny while he was sleeping

Easter Morning

We had to wait up a long time until David got up....for some reason the one morning we WANTED him to get up, he decided to sleep in. Here is Daddy and Mikko hanging out together on the couch. They were clapping together.
Mikko learned to Hug on command....Awwwhhhh

David getting mad at Mikko getting into his basket.

The boys with their Easter Baskets

David moving Easter Grass with his big Bucket Loader.

Mikko found some eggs too.

Mikko got into the Easter Grass BIG TIME.
Daddy had to go and get the Shop Vac out of the garage for the clean up.

David got this HUGE sucker in his basket.

It clunked him in the head. Ouch.

All better now!

David and Daddy working on a new puzzle.

Off to church we go!

Carrots for the Easter Bunny

David put out carrots for the Easter Bunny before going to bed tonight. I'm sure the Easter Bunny will be hungry after hiding all the Easter Baskets tonight.
He made quite the artistic arrangement.

Piggy Bank

Today Damon brought David to the bank to opening a Savings Account with the money in his Piggy Bank.
Can you tell I told him to say "Cheese"

Easter Egg Coloring - 2010

Mikko started out on the table with David but we QUICKLY learned that was a bad idea. He transitioned to his highchair.
Mikko got to play with an empty Easter Basket.

Which color to choose?

David dyed Mikko an orange egg which he promptly sucked on (I'm sure Paas uses only natural dyes) and threw on the floor.

David with the egg with his name on it.

Can you tell we have all boys. I asked for a pink egg. Mine is on the far right, a nice sick grey color.

Mikko destroying the basket.

The first thing David did this evening when I told him we were going to color eggs was to strip all his clothes off. Guess he remembers. Here are the 3 years we color eggs. Really the only difference this year is that he is wearing underwear instead of diapers!

I Did It!

Here is a picture of Me, Carrie and my Mom last year when my sister did the 3-Day. At the time I said "I couldn't ever do that". I didn't think I could raise the money and I thought I wasn't fit enough to do it.

But, 7 months later,
my first BIG challenge is complete. I raised the minimum $2300 to participate in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day! Amazing. I am hoping to raise even MORE through my team's Garage Sale in May and any other way I can think of.

I have such generous family, friends and coworkers. I was shocked at the donations people gave me...people at work I barely even talk to wrote checks because they have experienced the effects that breast cancer has had on their lives. People thanking ME for doing this because they lost their Mom way too early.
_______________
I've already begun the 24 week training program and am into my 4th week of the training. I feel fantastic!
______________
On Saturday I went to an organized training walk at the Mall of America. I went by myself and ended up walking with a group of ladies in the 60s. One of the ladies, Marilyn, was a Breast Cancer Survivor and had also lost her sister to breast cancer. She had done the 3-Day 5 times but this year she wasn't doing it. I asked her why she was at the Training Walk and she said she wanted to come out and support the walkers any way she could because she said we are doing such an amazing thing, she wants to be a part of it even though she isn't going to do the event this year. I left the training walk feeling so proud of myself and more convinced than ever that I can do this!

Twins Tickets

Dave grilling steaks. Everyone was in their Twins Gear. Too bad Nick Punto wasn't home to see us all donning our Twins apparel.
Dusty, toting David, and his beer!

Sophia and David had their own Kids Table. I think
Dusty was jealous.
Sophia is sporting her first Pig Tails - super cute!

Mikko wanted to join the kids table too.

Dave and Mary bought 20-Ticket package of Twins Tickets for the kids to share. We went over on Sunday to select our games. They had a wonderful steak and crab leg dinner for us too!

Farm Petting Zoo at Bachman's

David got to pet bunnies, baby chicks, and ducks.

The baby calf came over to visit Mikko and smelled his feet!

Grandma Carol helped David plant a flower.

Putting the flower in the hole.

Voila! Gardening is easy!

We ventured over to Bachman's on Saturday morning for the petting zoo with Grandma Carol. What fun! We went to lunch at Tailgate afterwards. Both boys were perfect! Another fun day!
