Mikko's First Meal!
Today we gave Mikko his first cereal. It went very well! I better start making some of my bibs for him though!
The BEST part was that he slept through the night! It must be an "Old Wives Tale" that is true because with both David and Mikko, the first night I gave them cereal they both slept through the night the first time.

Way too much fun!
Attempting to get a group shot of the kids!
I had a night out with my Gustavus girlfriends. I haven't laughed that much in a very long time. We brought all the kids to McDonalds for lunch and then back to the hotel to swim. What fun to see all our kids growing up so fast. Wendy has a son (Tate) just 3 weeks older than Mikko...it is crazy how similar looking and acting they are.

Then the kids left and the party began (thank goodness for my sister Carrie for taking the boys overnight because Damon was out of town). One of the highlights was that we called Alex, my best bud from college, (who now lives in Australia) and we had many laughs reminiscing about the crazy times we had in the "Study Lounge" of Co-Ed hall. It was as if no time had passed talking to him.

Teddy Bear Gift
We've started attending Richfield Lutheran Church in our neighborhood.
The first week we went we were greeted by the sweetest little old named Mary.
Last week she came up to me and asked if it would be OK if she brought a teddy bear for David. She remembered that the first time we attended back in July that David had said to her "We come back" as we were saying goodbye to her and it "stole her heart". She was so impressed by how well behaved he was during the service. This Sunday she brought him the teddy bear.

Mikko is 4 months old (tomorrow anyway!)
Mikko in his cute onsie that Christine decorated.
Looking Silly!
Looking Silly!
because his eyes are always open so wide!
Mikko is now 4 months old.
Although he is not sleeping through the night like he did for awhile, he still goes back to sleep right away and we have no trouble getting him down to sleep. He can hold his head up so well now that we've started putting him in the exersaucer. He also started flipping over from his back to his stomach. He does it so quick and lifts his head so high. After a short time he gets a bit cranky and wants to be flipped back to his back. But then he flips right back over again! I predict that he is going to teethe early because he drools SO much. I've bought a bunch of bibs because he gets all his clothes so wet from his drool. David is starting to pay more attention to him now that he is a little more active. Foxy is still obsessed with licking him which drives me crazy. He is a handsome little boy who I think is going to have a great personality - he smiles and coos all the time. He has the fattest little cheeks and thighs, they are adorable.

4th Anniversary
4 years, 2 pregnancies, 2 wonderful little boys, one crazy new puppy (Foxy), the deaths of grandparents (Opal and Don), countless diaper changes, 48 on-time mortgage payments during some tough times, 3 new cars, 2 kitchen paint colors,
and one attic remodel later (with virtually no fighting),
there is noone I'd rather be with to experience the highs and lows of life.
This is a picture of us on our wedding day my cousin Shelby recently posted on Facebook. I love that we are both holding beers! I love you Damon!
Happy 3rd Birthday
Greta posing in front of her giant Cupcake cake that Carrie mastered.
Greta licking frosting. Carrie had an assortment of different colored frostings and fixin's so that each kid could decorate their cupcake. She is very brave.

Little Styin' Dude
The theme of the party was an Art Party. Carrie had frames for each kid to decorate. Here is David's masterpiece.
Carrie threw a fabulous Art Party for Greta's Birthday. It was a wonderful party. The only "moment" was when David opened Greta's present. She started bawling, then David started bawling because he felt bad.

David's 3 Year Check-up
Well, I love our new doctor. We started seeing the doctor that tended to Mikko in the hospital who I immediately connected with. Today was David's first appointment with her.
I was a little nervous to find out what the new Pediatrician would say about David's size. Our last Pediatrician was always so concerned. I am sure you all know about all our Endocrinologist appointments, blood hormone tests etc. that just about drove me crazy. In fact, I even stopped going to the Endocrinologist because I began to think it was all so unnecessary.
Well, David is at the 6th percentile for height. Pretty small, yes. But this Pediatrician didn't question it at all. She basically just agreed that he is small. She said a lot of boys are small until they hit puberty. Very reassuring!
He is just as perfect as we always thought he was! She had no concerns whatsoever about his physical or mental development! He passed the vision test and is exactly where he should be, albeit a little behind on potty training : ) That is our next conquest!
